Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas from the Toguchi's!!  This year Emma made cookies for Santa and opened her presents from Grandma and Papa on Christmas Eve - guess what they got her??

Yes, it's a new car!!   Here are some family pics before we went to an Italian restaurant to celebrate Christmas.

Christmas Spirit

We finally made it to the famous Eucalyptus Street Holiday Lights splendor in San Carlos last night.  It was truly an amazing sight!!  Here's Roger and Emma sitting with Santa =)

Holiday Concert

We were truly excited when Emma's Teacher Sarah informed us about the holiday concert at the preschool.  Emma's first performance!!  It was held last Friday, December 13th and we invited Mom and Dad to come.   After an hour and half of impressive performance by the 3-5 year olds (singing 15+ Chinese songs each), we were ready for the youngest group.  

We probably shouldn't have sat in the front row because once Emma saw her, this was her impression:

Winter Wonderland

There's no snow on the ground but it's been frosty enough to feel like Winter Wonderland.   

We went to Palo Alto's 'Build You Own Snowman' event and was a bit disappointed on the snow

We then headed to the Academy of Science where we saw REAL reindeer and there were 'snow' machines

Emma's favorite was still the aquarium where she saw Nemo, Nemo's daddy and Dori

Thanksgiving Feast 2013

Dad truly outdid himself this Thanksgiving. Not only did we have Turkey but we had every meat possible plus appetizers and sides.  We hosted 16 adults and 7 kids - luckily it was quite drama free.  All the kids didn't want to leave because they love Emma's toys =)

First Day of Preschool

Emma started her first day of preschool on Nov. 4th.  It was a bittersweet day as we know the change from her beloved at-home daycare provider, Lucy, would be very difficult.   She wore her favorite shirt (Ariel) and actually ran to the new classroom.   She had a great time the first day and didn't cry until she saw other kids cry.   However, the days after that haven't been so smooth.  We're now on week 3 and it's been better but we're crossing our fingers that there'll be no tears come week 4.

Diwali Party

We celebrated Diwali for the first time at Suki's Wharton friend, Raghu's, house.  Emma discovered fireworks for the first time and loved the sparklers.  Her fave was the flower pot.  Guess we'll have buy some for Fourth of July.
